Burn-off ovens, also known as pyrolysis ovens, play a fundamental role in the safe and clean removal of all organic compounds that make up most of the insulating system, allowing subsequent repairs to the equipment with total guarantee.

At Insolutions, we offer burn-off ovens in a wide range of dimensions, from small compact models of 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 meters to large modular construction equipment of 5 x 5 x 5 meters and bigger, thus adapting to the specific needs of each client

Burn-off ovens operate at temperatures ranging between 300 and 400 ºC normally for periods of between 6 to 12 hours or more, depending on the nature of the insulating material and the size of the equipment, thus ensuring a perfect and controlled decomposition of the resin or varnish through pyrolysis. The fumes generated during the process are treated in an oxygen rich post-combustion chamber at temperatures higher than 850ºC, achieving complete oxidation of the contaminants before being expelled to the atmosphere. The control of the heating temperature is carried out through an adaptive system that optimizes the duration of the cycle, especially during the critical degassing phases of the volatile components.

Natural gas (methane) is the fuel commonly used in burn-off ovens, although there is also the possibility of using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or diesel oil as an alternative. The internal platforms can be equipped with manual or motorized systems to facilitate the loading and unloading of heavy parts. As for the doors, several alternatives are possible to fulfill the requirements of our customers: These can be manual swing doors, automatic doors, or doors attached to the platform, which allows greater flexibility and facilitates access to the oven during the process.
